Meikkel Murray and Meikyle Murray’s offense in the third quarter helped the Amherst Regional boys basketball team beat Holyoke 80-61 on the road Monday.

Meikkel Murray scored 10 of his 26 points, while Meikyle Murray scored nine of his 14 points in the third for the Hurricanes (7-3).

Tajahn Joyner also hit double figures for the Hurricanes with 16 points.

Seth Bella-Hunter had 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Westfield 63, Hampshire 55 OT — After leading most of the game, the Raiders could not close out the Bombers and lost in overtime.

Matt Babyak had 19 points and 17 rebounds for the Raiders (7-3).

Greg Laroche added six points, six assists and eight rebounds.

Connor Bryant had four points and 10 rebounds.

Longmeadow 61, South Hadley 42 — The Tigers couldn’t stay with the Lancers on the road.

Matt Grochowalski (11 points) Nate Poirier (11 points) and Calvin Bridges (10 points) were all in double figures for the Tigers (5-5, 1-3 Suburban)

Granby 63, Easthampton 49 — The Rams clamped down on the Eagles in the home win.

Granby gave up only 12 points in the first half.

Zach Gorham led the Rams with 22 points (6-3, 2-2 Bi County), while Noah Bleakley (17 points) and Ryan Sheehan (11 points) also scored in double-figures).

Zach Crisafulli led the Eagles (3-6, 2-2) with 20 points. Ant Moynihan added 10.

Girls basketball

Putnam 61, Smith Academy 31 — The Falcons had difficulty with the full court press of the Beavers and lost at home.

Mary Whalen had nine points for Smith Academy (4-6).

Hampshire 65, Agawam 44 — Katelyn Pickunka led the Raiders with 22 points in the road win over the Brownies.

Katy O’Connor scored 20 for the Raiders (8-2), who never trailed.

Ice hockey

South Hadley 6, St. Mary 2 — The Tigers’ offense opened up in a win in Westfield.

Sean Doherty led South Hadley (5-2-1, 5-0-1, Fay Wright) with two goals.

Andrew Brunelle, Will Hunter, Dominic Rosazza and Corey Calkins also scored for the Tigers.

Nick Thibault added two assists.
