AMHERST — A Wednesday afternoon break-in to a dormitory room in the Southwest Area of the University of Massachusetts campus is being investigated.
According to a crime alert posted on the UMass Police website, the incident occurred between 12:15 and 1:30 p.m. at Cance Hall, when a student’s unoccupied and unlocked room was entered and various items were stolen, including a black HP game computer with a red keyboard, a blue and orange bomber jacket, a black suitcase and a large amount of cash.
Police are seeking assistance in identifying three individuals observed by security cameras.
