In a packed gym, the Easthampton basketball team returned to last year’s form in a 67-46 win over rival Hampshire Regional Friday night in Easthampton.

Zach Crisafulli scored 21 points to lead the Eagles (6-6, 5-2 Bi County), and Sopie Pek began to look more comfortable after missing the early part of the season.

Pek had 10 points, but his defense fueled the Eagles’ transition game. Two Pek steals led directly to baskets as the Eagles pulled away from the Raiders (8-5, 5-4) in the fourth quarter.

Wahconah transfer Ant Moynihan had a season-high 20 points with four 3-pointers for Easthampton, often launching shots from beyond the 3-point line.

“It means a lot to come in to a place where I am accepted and play well,” Moynihan said. “I love it here.”

Nate Sawyer had 12 points for the Raiders, while Greg Laroche scored 10 points with three 3-pointers.

Hampshire had answers in the first half for Easthampton’s runs, but in the second half turnovers began to hurt the Raiders.

Jacob Bihler added eight points for Hampshire.

Easthampton had a 46-36 lead going into the fourth quarter.

Amherst Regional 68, West Springfield 48 — Meikkel Murray threw down two one-handed dunks en route to 25 points, and the Hurricanes qualified for the postseason with a home win.

They jumped out to an 8-0 lead and rarely let the Terriers much closer.

Tate Rietkerk also hit double figures for the Hurricanes (10-3, 4-0 Valley Wheel) with 11 points.

Hopkins Academy 95, Smith Academy 40 — Sam’i Roe hit five 3s and scored 25 points in the Golden Hawks’ home win.

He grabbed a team-high 11 rebounds for Hopkins (11-1, 9-0 Hampshire).

The Golden Hawks hit 15 3s. John Earle made four and scored 22 points, while Justin Ciaglo canned three 3s and scored 17 points.

Jon Morrison grabbed a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Pioneer Regional 59, Frontier Regional 44 —The Red Hawks played well in the first and fourth quarters, but it the middle quarters were the problem.

The Panthers outscored Frontier (4-10, 4-6 Hampshire) 34-11 in the second and third to take control.

Keaton Warren led Frontier with 12 points.

Northampton 56, Westfield 53 — The Blue Devils erased a 12-point first-quarter deficit to qualify for the postseason.

Will O’Connor scored eight of his team-high 10 points in the third quarter, as Northampton (10-3, 2-1 Valley Wheel) retook the lead.

Andy Grygorcewicz (eight points) and Elijah Davis (four points) went 3-for-4 from the free-throw line down the stretch to seal the win.

Hampden Charter 68, Smith Voke 59 — The Vikings had three players in double figures but lost on the road.

Luis Acosta and Drew Brida each had 15 points for Smith Voke (2-10, 1-7 Tri County).

Jayvon Cordova added 13 points.

Monson 52, Granby 39 — Zach Gorham scored 17 points, and Joe Desormier had 10 in a home loss for the (Rams 9-4, 5-3 Bi-County).

Ludlow 51, Belchertown 44 — The Orioles had a halftime lead but couldn’t hold on in the road loss.

Mitch Medina led Belchertown (0-12, 0-7 Suburban) with 17 points.

Chicopee Comp 44, South Hadley 41 — Hunter Carey scored 12 points, but the Tigers couldn’t overcome a second-quarter drought in a road loss.

South Hadley (7-6, 3-4 Suburban) only scored two points in the second frame.

Matt Grochowalski added 10 points.

Girls basketball

South Hadley 65, Monson 35 — The undefeated Tigers rolled past the Mustangs at home.

Sophie Gatzounas (27 points), Mia Kelly (18 points) and Abby Edge (11 points) were all in double figures for South Hadley (12-0, 3-0 Central).
