The Amherst Regional nordic ski team competed in a different Berkshire League race, Saturday at Mount Greylock.
A mixed-gender relay consisting of two girls and two boys raced skate-style on a 4-kilometer course.
This was followed by an untimed 0.8K skate sprint bracket-style race. There was an open qualifying heat, followed by two semifinal heats and a final round with eight skiiers.
Amherst’s Willy Wright won the sprint race for his first win of the season. Luke Sedor Protti of Amherst came in fifth.
The Amherst relay team of Kendall Pittman, Katie King, Sedor Protti and Wright came in eighth in 1 hour, 02 minutes, 34 seconds.
The Hurricanes’ relay of Piper Lacy, Claudia Danforth, Orion Cable and Ryan Dinger was 16th (1:06:56).
