SHUTESBURY — Democrats in Shutesbury will hold a caucus at Town Hall Saturday at 10 a.m. to elect three delegates and three alternates for the 2017 Massachusetts Democratic Convention. The convention will be held on Saturday, June 3, at the Tsongas Arena in Lowell.
The caucus is the first of three items on the agenda for the Shutesbury meeting. Following it, an annual meeting will be held at which time associate members will be elected and reports of progress on a preliminary grassroots action plan will be presented.
All registered Democrats are welcome to participate in the caucus. Those who are 18 and not registered to vote can register before the caucus.
Delegates will be divided equally between men and women; in the spirit of inclusion, youth, minorities and people with disabilities who are not elected as delegates may apply to be add-on delegates, either at the caucus or online at massdems.org
