Year one of UMass’ Tory Verdi era ended Sunday in the Atlantic 10 women’s basketball tournament.

The Minutewomen couldn’t match Saint Louis 3-point shooting, as the Billikens pulled away for a 91-51 win at Chaifetz Arena.

Junior Maggie Mulligan completed her breakout season with 16 points, eight rebounds and five blocked shots. Hailey Leidel added 14 points and her four 3-pointers gave her a UMass single-season record 78.

The Minutewomen completed the season 9-21 overall. They’ll return the core of the roster next year as Alyx Stiff (10.1 points per game) and walk-0n Megan Burke are the only players graduating.
