NORTHAMPTON — A Florence woman won $1 million in the Massachusetts State Lottery Monday.
Paula Pelkey won the money playing the lottery’s “$2,000,000 50X Cashword”instant game.
She plans on using a portion of her winnings to renovate her home, according to the lottery.
Pelkey took home $650,000 after choosing the cash one-time payment option.
The winning ticket was purchased at Pride Station & Store, 60 Union St., in Easthampton. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale.
She is the 11th $1 million prize winner in the instant game.
