A big second half helped the Smith College lacrosse team beat Nichols, 16-7, Tuesday in Dudley.
The win was the Pioneers seventh straight. Smith College (7-1) scored 10 second-half goals to pull away.
Chloe Harris scored six goals with an assist for the Pioneers, while Sydney Garner added four goals and an assist. Sarah Price made nine saves in net.
Harris has 27 goals for Smith College.
Amherst College 9, Springfield 4 — Julia Crerend topped Amherst with three goals in the home win.
Kyra Gardner made two saves for No. 19 Amherst (3-2).
Holy Cross 15, UMass 5 — The Minutemen had a lead but gave up 10 runs in the bottom of the eighth and lost on the road.
Dylan Morris had two hits and two RBIs for UMass (4-8).
Hartford 8, Bryant 7 — Catcher Erik Ostberg (Florence) was 1 for 3 with two runs and two walks as the Hawks (2-9) won at home.
