HADLEY — A two-car crash at the intersection of Rocky Hill Road and River Drive (Route 47) Friday morning left one car flipped on its side and required both drivers to be transported to the hospital for treatment, according to Hadley Police Sgt. Mitchell Kuc.

The crash occurred at around 8:30 a.m. when a sedan traveling southbound on River Drive attempted to make a left turn onto Rocky Hill Road and was hit by the northbound SUV, which had the right of way, Kuc wrote in a department Facebook post.

Both drivers were taken by Amherst Fire Department ambulance to a hospital.

Southbound traffic on River Drive and westbound traffic on Rocky Hill Road was briefly delayed as the vehicles were towed from the scene.

Road conditions were wet at the time of the accident.

The crash remains under investigation.
