Richard Atkinson, class of 2019, was named to the winter high honors list at Pomfret School in Pomfret, Connecticut.
William Schmidt was inducted into Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society at Ithaca College in Ithaca, New York, where he is majoring in music composition.
Nicholas Day, a student at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, has been named as a Division III Scholar All-American by the National Wrestling Coaches Association. Day, a sophomore and civil engineering major, is a repeat honoree.
Gabrielle Ransford, a second-year student in Quinnipiac University’s Frank H. Netter M.D. School of Medicine in Hampden, Connecticut, is developing a medical-legal partnership between the School of Medicine, the Quinnipiac University School of Law Legal Clinic and Fair Haven Community Health Center.
Last summer, Ransford conducted an assessment of the legal needs of patients served by FHCHC, a federally qualified health center in New Haven where she has trained for about 18 months as part of Quinnipiac’s Medical Student Home program.
Ransford will present the findings of her survey at the annual Medical-Legal Partnership Summit in April in National Harbor, Maryland, and at a regional conference in May in Rochester, New York.
Jillian Slezek is studying the Italian language and Renaissance architecture in Florence, Italy, during Union College’s spring term. Slezek, a member of the class of 2018 at the college in Schenectady, New York, is majoring in English.
Evan Murray was named to the fall semester dean’s list at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, where he is studying computer science.
Justin Golec was named to NE10 commissioner’s honor roll for academic achievement at The College of Saint Rose in Albany, New York. Golec is a graduate student on the Golden Knights men’s lacrosse team.
