Gabby Jones fell a triple short of the cycle and had five RBIs, as the Williston softball team beat Marianapolis Prep 10-3 on Wednesday at home. Sarah Marion of Granby had an RBI single and scored two runs for the Wildcats (1-0) .

Jersey Strum had two singles and came around to score both times. Jordan Strum had a dominant day on the mound with 13 strikeouts for Williston’s first win of the season.

Baseball

Salisbury 15, Williston 3 — Florence’s Ian Ostberg and Granby’s Jonathan Toth both doubled in the loss. Williston (0-2) has been outscored by its first two opponents a combined 28-4.

Girls lacrosse

Willston 16, Miss Porter’s 1 — Caitlin Keefe and Madison Fulcher-Melendy each notched hat tricks at home. Fiona Bundy and Campbell Nyardy each added two goals, and Olivia Bonavita had six draw controls for the undefeated Wildcats (4-0).

Boys lacrosse

Williston 10, Kimbal Union 7 — After taking an early 9-2 lead, Williston (2-1) held on for a victory.
