The Northampton boys lacrosse team beat East Longmeadow 9-6 on Thursday at home.
The Blue Devils (4-1, 2-0 Valley League) held off a fourth quarter push by the Spartans to pick up the non-conference victory.
Tyler Allcroft netted five goals for Northampton.
Henry Attias and Henry Higgins added two goals. Ryan Heng had nine saves in net.
Chicopee 16, Granby 3 — Ryan Walz made eight saves in a road loss for the Rams.
Brad Taft, Mitchell Labbee and Collin Stearns each scored for Granby (1-3).
South Hadley 21, West Springfield 6 — A 10-goal third period helped the Tigers beat the Terriers at home.
Jason Fernandes scored nine goals with two assists for South Hadley (1-5).
Corey Calkins made six saves in net.
East Longmeadow 15, Amherst 3 — Nine players scored for the Spartans in the home loss for the Hurricanes.
Cleo Hin and Taya Mathers of Amherst combined for 12 saves.
Malia MacDonald had two goals, and Malina Kerms had one for the ‘Canes.
Northampton 16, West Springfield 2 — Abby Baldwin and Megan McCarthy carried the offense for the Blue Devils in the road win.
McCarthy had six goals, while Baldwin netted five goals with three assists for Northampton (4-0).
Belchertown 3, Central 2 — Matthew Davidsohn had three aces and six kills in the contest for Belchertown. Nathan Wright added nine kills and Kyle Zielinski had five blocks.
