A vehicle fire on the northbound lane of Interstate 91 near the town line between Easthampton and Holyoke caused massive traffic delays Friday.
Emergency responders closed three lanes of the major artery for at least 40 minutes while crews battled the blaze, according to officials with the Massachusetts State Police. A two-vehicle accident late in the morning caused the fire, authorities said.
No injuries were reported.
The highway reopened as of 12:30 p.m.
