NORTHAMPTON — One of the city’s busiest intersections is getting some attention from the state, and residents are invited to weigh in.
The Massachusetts Department of Transportation is holding a public hearing Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers about reconstruction planned for Damon Road, including where the important cut-through meets King Street and Bridge Road. According to the meeting notice, state officials intend to inform the public about plans and take feedback during the hearing.
Last fall MassDOT made a series of changes to the infamous four-way intersection, including revised pavement markings, traffic signal modifications, a lane alteration and widening of Bridge Road.
Residents questioned whether or not those changes were an improvement in the aftermath of construction in September.
