GRANBY — A year after narrowly missing out on a seat on the Select Board, Glenn Sexton easily won election to the board Monday.
Sexton, 48, of 53 Amherst St., bested Jennifer Silva, 16 Aldrich St., for the position at town election.
Silva, 39, congratulated Sexton on his win.
“While I’m disappointed, I hope that my running will inspire others my age to get involved in our town,” Silva said.

Simpson, 144 Porter St., won three-year seats on the School Committee; Aimee C. Gold, 62 Lyman St., Paula M. Lapite, 13 Ferry Hill Road, and Kathryn C. Mercier, 53 Porter St., won three-year terms as library trustees; and Lillian D. Camus, 2 Common St., won a five-year post on the Planning Board.
Incumbent Kevin B. Brooks, 246 State St., won another three-year term as Commissioner of Burial Grounds; incumbent Gregg Leonard, 160 Batchelor St., will be an assessor for another three years and incumbent Richard G.
