The Williston Northampton boys golf team capped its regular season with a 184-213 win over Cushing Academy, Saturday at The Ledges in South Hadley.
The victory gave the Wildcats a program-best 20-1 record.
Jacob Zaranek and Noah DeVos each shoot 1-under-par 35 in the win.
Williston 11, Tabor 3 โ Fiona Bundy, Caitlin Keefe and Rachel Burke each had three goals as the Wildcats roll on the road Saturday.
Madison Fulcher-Melendy added two goals and three assists and led in draw control. Campbell Nyarady played well on both ends of the field, while Shana Hecht had six saves.
Williston 10, Pomfret 3; Williston 10, Gunnery 9 โ Mason Balch (assist) had two goals, while Johnny Killcommons added three as the Wildcats cruised past Pomfret in the finals of the Colonial League Tournament, Saturday.
Balch netted six goals in a semifinal win over Gunnery.
Greenwich 20, Williston 7; Suffield 12, Williston 4 โ The Wildcats placed fourth in the NEPSAC Tournament on Saturday.
Abby Coscia finished with seven goals overall to earn All New England honors. In the third-place game against Suffield, goalie Dylan Fulcher-Melendy (Easthampton) made 16 saves and scored a goal from half pool.
Maya Soley, Ella Mattocks and Mary Koback all scored a goal against Suffield. Ilana Rapaport played well on defense.
It was the first final four appearance in program history.
Williston 5, Hopkins 0; Westminster 2, Williston 0 โ Jordan Strum struck out 13 and helped her cause with a double, an RBI and two runs as the Wildcats beat Hopkins in the NEPSAC Western New England Class A semifinals on Saturday. Jersey Strum was 3-for-4 with two RBIs, while Gabby Jones had two hits and two runs. Dani Marquez added an RBI single.
Williston was blanked in the finals on Sunday.
Williston 18, Millbrook 5 โ Ian Ostberg (Florence) was 6-for-6 with four runs and three RBIs as the Wildcats cruised on the road Saturday.
Cody Cavanagh (Holyoke) and Mike Mieczkowski (Hadley) each had three hits and three RBIs. Derek Zewinski (South Deerfield) had three hits and three runs.
Williston 5, Worcester 2 โ Kenny Wang (Amherst), Joey Robbins, Nithish Raja and Vishnu Sekar won at second, third, fourth and fifth singles, respectively, to pace the Wildcats in their season finale, Saturday.
Suffield Invitationalโ Fuka Iwama won the championship at first singles for Williston on Saturday. Teammates Gabby Mercier and Kate Quimby were finalists in the doubles tournament.
Williston placed sixth at the NEPSTA Division 2 Championship Saturday.
Alexis Ryan won the javelin with a throw of 93 feet, 4 inches. She also placed second in the discus (1-7-7) and fourth in the shot put (33-3ยผ).
Emma Reynolds was fifth in the pole vault (8-0).
Williston placed eighth at the NEPSTA Division 2 Championship Saturday.
The Wildcatsโ 4×400 relay of Jake Goodman, Greg Iverson, Oskar Lee and Elijah Hutchinson won in 3 minutes, 31.98 seconds.
Eni Ikuki was second in the long jump (21-4), while Hutchinson was second in the 400 (50.96) and fourth in the 200 (23.09).
Goodman was fourth in the 400 (52.22).
