The Belchertown girls tennis team beat the rain and Sabis on Monday to move within a victory of an outright league championship.
The Orioles swept the Bulldogs, 5-0, in Belchertown. A win over second-place Central on Tuesday in Springfield will cap an undefeated season in the Pioneer League for the Orioles (15-3, 9-0).
Jordyn Paul (first singles) and Kate Assimus (second singles) won their matches in straight sets.
Emily Slater needed three sets to win at third singles.
The doubles teams of Julia Morgado and Madison Slater (first), and Nicole Sterste and Carol Law (second) also swept.
