The Audubon Society has reported a variety of recent bird sightings in western Massachusetts.

A hooded warbler was found in Williamstown

Olive-sided flycatchers were seen in Wendell and Wiliamstown

A brant, a red-breasted merganser, and a Bonaparte’s gull were on Lake Onota

A Kentucky warbler was found on Mount Holyoke, and cerulean and worm-eating warblers are still being seen on the mountain.

Upland sandpipers continue to be seen in the Westover Air Reserve base grasslands in Ludlow and near the Stony Brook wetlands. Marsh wrens were also reported in the Stony Brook wetlands.

The red-headed woodpecker continues to be reported in Belchertown and another was found in Holyoke.
