BELCHERTOWN — Belchertown Police are investigating a case in which a pizza delivery driver was allegedly robbed at gunpoint.

Around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday, police received a report of a robbery of the delivery driver. The driver was making a delivery in the area of Lake Drive and Federal Street for a local restaurant when he was “confronted by a male who demanded money,” police said. The man was reported to have shown a handgun.

A small amount of money was taken from the driver, who was not injured, according to police.

The suspect is described as a male between the ages of 17 to 20, dark skinned, heavy set, and approximately 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall.
