The frequent national criticisms of the Veterans Administration may make some think that the Leeds VA does not serve veterans well. To the contrary: I have had more than 30 years of timely and intelligent professional care at our VA and I know that there are many more who enthusiastically agree with me.
Care is always immediately available at the Urgent Care office staffed by well trained professionals. An assigned primary care doctor can be contacted quickly and easily through email and in person. The well-trained, compassionate nursing staff is always helpful and easily available. Communication is good and improving all the time. Electronic sign-in consoles are available at convenient places. Complete patient data is available to the veteran privately online and at the consoles.
The professional staff, as well as the support staff, is polite, helpful and knowledgeable. Special “outside” professional help is made available if the veteran needs care not available at the facility. All of this produces a well-tuned medical facility that everyone should be very proud of. I am, and I know that many veterans who are treated there are also.
We are indeed fortunate to have such a fine, well-run veterans medical facility here.
