Unfortunately, I don’t make the time to read a lot of books these days, but on a recent summer weekend, I had the opportunity to dig into a promising new hardback and I am glad I did!
“Climate of Hope” is a well-written and researched volume from businessman Michael Bloomberg and environmental leader Carl Pope. Surprisingly (at least to me), I came away feeling optimistic and energized about how “cities, businesses and citizens” can all play a role in not only addressing the large threat of Climate Change, but also reap great benefit and profit in doing so.
Indeed, the authors credibly make the case that the threat of a chaotically changing climate is “one of the greatest opportunities” for business, jobs and health “the world has ever known.” For me, this is a refreshing perspective and, I think, one we badly need.
If you are seeking a perspective on Climate Change based on problem-solving and opportunity, read this book and discover how “each part of the problem of climate change has a solution that can make our society healthier and stronger.”
