On behalf of the trustees of Forbes Library, I would like to thank the many people who communicated their strong support to us during the past year.
We are very pleased with the agreement that we recently negotiated with the city government and have great hopes that we are now entering a new period of our partnership that will further benefit all the inhabitants of Northampton. We want to assure you that we appreciate the use of your tax dollars as well as your many generous personal contributions and will use them with the utmost care as we always have.
Our goal has always been and will continue to be both to fulfill the intentions of the will of Judge Charles E. Forbes and to make Forbes Library the model for modern library services here in western Massachusetts.
