South Hadley should find new home for Ziggy

Unfortunately the Select Board has been put into a bad position regarding Ziggy the Saint Bernard from South Hadley.

I have been a dog owner all my life of some very friendly and some not so friendly guard dogs. The problem we read on the front page of the Gazette on July 14 (โ€œSaint Bernardโ€™s life in Select Boardโ€™s handsโ€) does not appear to be a dog issue as Saint Bernards are a very friendly breed. A new home should be found for him and the dog should not be put down.

I hope that the Select Board or the town does the right thing and rehomes this guy.
