Peg Cross and John Miller of Hadley were married July 6, 1957 in St. Rose Church, Gaithersburg, Maryland.
The couple marked their 60th wedding anniversary with a celebration hosted by their children at the Ridge Club in Sandwich.
Peg was educated at Towson State Teachers’ College in Towson, Maryland. She was a teacher in the Amherst public schools and worked in the admissions office at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
John is a United States Navy veteran of the Korean War. He was vice president of Hardigg Industries in South Deerfield.
The couple have three children: Jamie Miller and his wife, Melissa, of Virgina Beach, Virginia; Pam Burns and her husband, Gregg, of Barnstable; Sally Farnham and her husband, Michael, of Hadley; seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
