DEERFIELD — Yvia Marie Walker of Greenfield, 23, was arrested Wednesday night by Deerfield Police on traffic violation charges and a heroin drug charge, following a traffic stop.

According to Deerfield Police, Officer Jesse Rosnick was on patrol when he saw a vehicle operating erratically on Greenfield Road at about 9:45 p.m. He stopped the vehicle and after a brief conversation with the operator determined she was driving with a suspended driver’s license. Following Walker’s arrest, Rosnick located drugs that appeared to be heroin and paraphernalia consistent with drug use. Police also located a Ruger air pellet gun that was not marked with any orange tip — giving it the appearance of a rifle. However, no weapons charges were given.

Walker was charged with a marked lanes violation, driving with a suspended license and possession of a Class A substance (heroin).
