As ghost and goblins descend on the streets tonight, there is one thing that won’t be scary: the weather.
The National Weather Service in Taunton has forecast a relatively mild evening for trick or treaters.
Temperatures in the mid-50s during the day are expected to drop down to the upper 40s around 7 p.m., according to Bill Simpson, a spokesperson with the National Weather Service’s Boston office.
“It’s pretty nice weather compared to what it has been,” Simpson said.
Throughout the day, a “pretty good balance” of sun and clouds is also forecast, according to Simpson.
Overnight, a hard frost is expected with low temperatures below 30.
If trick or treating isn’t your thing, the Florence Rag Shag parade is set to step off at 6 p.m.
