Editorial: Remember to vote Tuesday in Easthampton and Northampton

We encourage registered voters in Easthampton and Northampton to go to the polls Tuesday, which are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. in both cities.

In Easthampton, voters will elect a new mayor, and there are also contested races for four at-large City Council seats, the Precinct 2 city councilor and six School Committee representatives. The Gazette has endorsed mayoral candidate Nicole LaChapelle.

In Northampton, there are contested races on the ballot for mayor, city clerk and Ward 6 School Committee representative. There are also announced write-in candidates for Ward 3 city councilor, and at-large and Ward 7 School Committee seats. The Gazette has endorsed Mayor David J. Narkewicz, who is seeking re-election to his third term.
