NORTHAMPTON — A section of King Street is closed after a two-car collision flipped a vehicle, sending one person to Cooley-Dickinson Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to Northampton Police Sgt. Josef Barsh, the station received a call of a collision outside the Firestone automobile center on 327 King St. at 7:08 p.m. The police and fire departments responded to the scene, where one person was trapped inside the flipped vehicle, Barsh said.

The section of King Street between Barrett Street and Damon Street will be closed until approximately 8:30 p.m., according to Barsh, while authorities wait for a sweeper to clean up broken glass.
