Mathrew Arroyo had two RBIs, as the Easthampton baseball team beat South Hadley 5-2 on the road Friday. Justin Colpack went 2-for-2 and finished with one RBI for the Eagles (2-1).
Dawson Wolcott picked up the win after striking out seven in four innings. He walked four and allowed two hits. Zackery Kugler also had two hits.
Evan Levrault went 3-for-3 and had one RBI for the Tigers (0-3). Braden Fogarty drove in South Hadley’s other run.
Holyoke 10, Granby 5 — Despite three runs plated in the seventh, the Rams dropped their second game this season. Michael White was 1-for-2 while Josh White went 2-for-3. Connor Matthews also went 2-for-4.
Pope Francis 8, Amherst 6 — The Hurricanes posted three doubles but lost their third consecutive contest. J.B. Mills had two RBIs through a double while Justin Masteralexis hit two doubles for two RBIs. Eli Kayser-Hirsch pitched 4⅔2/3.
Smith Vocational 19, Duggan 2 (5) — The Vikings scored 11 runs in the first inning. Jack O’Connell had 11 strike outs, and Dana Kellog had three hits including one double for Smith Vocational (1-0).
Sci-Tech 8, Gateway 6 — Brandon Daniels and Anthony Piquette each scored two runs, as Gateway (1-1) fell at home.
Central 18, Granby 6 — Lexi Strycharz picked up two RBIs, and Lindsey Wenzel laced a run scoring double, but the Rams (0-2).
Hampshire 11, Chicopee Comp 2 — Emily Halket went the distance and allowed two earned runs on four hits, striking out seven. Brie Bergeron slugged a home run and drove in three runs, while Hannah Wodecki and Katelyn Baker each picked up two hits for the Raiders (2-0).
Frontier 12, Palmer 2 — Ava Harper finished 3-4 with three RBIs and two runs scored, as the Red Hawks (3-1) handled Palmer at home on Friday. Kelsey Jarvis, Lily Spencer, Caitlynn Devine and Emma Wesoloski (two RBIs) each added two hits and Charlotte Doulette tallied three RBIs.
Northampton 9, Chicopee 0 — The Blue Devils had three 3-run innings to pick up their third consecutive win. Jill McGrath went 3-for-3 for two RBIs, while Abby and Emilia Pelis both went 2-for-4, including three RBIs from Abby. Anna Kerwood struck out nine batters and only gave up two hits.
Greenfield 9, South Hadley 2 — Mikhaila Edge drove in a run, while Abby Edge had a double. Emilee Ottomaniello also had a single for the Tigers (1-3).
Hopkins Academy 8, Putnam 3 — Maegan Quinlan picked up the win on the mound and went 4-for-4 with two RBIs for the Golden Hawks (2-1). Gabby Dijach (three RBI) and Macy Ring (RBI) each added two hits as well.
Gateway 17, Westfield Tech 4 (6) — The Gators had four batters with two hits today including Angela Wright, Stephanie Paiva, and Grace VanBuren. Ava Auclair also registered two hits, both of which were home runs, including a walk-off home run to finish the game.
Pathfinder 11, Smith Vocational 8 — Cassidy Colaruso had three hits, including two triples and a homer for three RBIs. Serenity Roznovsky added a single for the Vikings (1-1, 1-1 Tri-County).
Belchertown 13, Central 0 — Nick Fellion (four saves) and Aidan Lyons (two saves) combined for a shutout. Grant Irving scored twice with an assist, and Jack Filippelli added a goal and two assists.
Jaxon Royal, Owen Palmateer and Jake Condon all found the net twice, and Nick Makkiya had two assists for Belchertown (4-1, 3-0 Suburban). Owen Sedladeck pitched in a goal and an assist.
Adam Wordsworth scored, while Nate Pacheco, Mark Tharion and Justin Pendrick had assists.
Longmeadow 14, South Hadley 7 — Marcus Larrier registered two goals and an assist, while Stephen Stratton had a team-high two assists. Jacob Allard and Liam Dawson both scored twice, and Hunter Borowski had a goal and an assist. Anthony Cigal stopped 19 shots for South Hadley (4-2, 2-1 Valley Wheel).
Longmeadow 19, Northampton 3 — Abby Baldwin registered a hat trick but the Blue Devils picked up their second consecutive loss this season. Ella Moreau made two saves and Gabby Adorno turned away four for Northampton (1-4, 0-3 Valley Wheel).
