It was a mistake to again reject Heather Cahillane for the directorship of the Norhampton Senior Center.
Her roots here in Northampton are deep, and she has done an admirable job as assistant director. She is universally liked and respected. Whenever possible, promotion from within is the best choice for maintaining good morale in an organization. I hope that Heather’s name can be brought up again for consideration.
The senior center members and staff that I have spoken to all support her as their choice for director.
