A blanket of snow and sleet greeted the region overnight Sunday, and rain and clouds are forecast to persist through Friday. On Monday in Northampton, on the Smith College campus, a pedestrian made her way past daffodils and a blossoming magnolia tree in the Wilson Bulb Bank just below Chapin House. And on Market Street, Erdim Ylmaz remarked, “I can’t believe it’s April – I hate the snow,” as he shoveled the slush in front of his apartment for his landlord who was away on vacation.
