Rosenberg has been effective leader

In an article published in the April 27 Gazette (“Kline riding national wave with background in women’s activism”), the candidate running for state Senate against Stan Rosenberg said that she’s “been waiting for the right moment and the right position,” to run for office and, while she respects what Rosenberg has done, it’s — wait for it — “time for a change.”

Western Massachusetts is well-served by Stan Rosenberg in the Senate. Last week, for example, Rosenberg went to bat for Pioneer Valley Transit Authority riders, helping to add $3 million in the supplemental budget for regional transit authorities and then an additional $1 million in a floor amendment. This funding, with more than $1 million of it going to the PVTA, will help fund our local routes.

Then, continuing his incredible commitment to those who need help most from state government, Rosenberg successfully added more than $2 million for the innovative Healthy Initiatives Project, which helps low-income working families and senior citizens buy fresh food from local farmers at farm stands, farmers markets and food coops.

Elections provide an opportunity to look at the record of our elected officials, and decide if we want change. Stan Rosenberg has been an effective leader in Boston: dedicated, knowledgeable and hard-working.

With so much at stake for public education, transportation and those needing help from state government, now is the “right moment” to endorse the kind of representation Stan Rosenberg provides every day.
