It looks like voters will now have plenty of choices for the Senate seat vacated by Stan Rosenberg.
In fact, the latest candidate doesn’t even live in the district, but is planning to relocate at some point. There’s nothing wrong with candidates jumping in to a race when it becomes “safer,” but I’d like to recognize the person who joined the race when it was not only hard, but daunting.
Chelsea Kline bravely stood up and challenged an extremely popular legislator. She made this challenge because she believed that she could bring a new voice for working families, local businesses and especially those who are struggling or marginalized in our district.
I think that commitment and courage say so much about who is she and what she stands for. And those things matter more than ever. I’m going for the brave one.
