Hatfield is fortunate that a citizen such as Jill Robinson is willing to devote countless hours to public service.
I’m pleased and excited to support her candidacy for the School Committee for a three-year term in Tuesday’s town election. Robinson has a master’s degree and has years of experience in the field of education.
She has exposure to most public schools throughout the commonwealth through her job, which is her passion. Mining those best practices will benefit the children of Hatfield.
Robinson has experience in securing resources, funding and programs. She is savvy in professional development for our educators. She’s managed education contracts. She has experience with successful summer programs.
Robinson values social emotional health. Because she is further along in the learning curve, rolling out and sustaining a strong program in that area will be useful in penetrating the culture of our schools.
In Hatfield, declining enrollment and sustainability will continue to be challenges to our district. School choice options and charter schools have upped the ante and make keeping students more difficult for many small towns in our area.
