Questions site for school

I write to address the school issue in Easthampton. While it is quite notable that the three elementary schools are over 100 years old, they still stand.

While White Brook Middle School was built some 43 years ago. it will now be torn down because of poor planning and upkeep. Not to mention a high school that was built 60 years ago had to go the way of the wrecking ball because of the same neglect in maintenance.

Who will oversee the construction and maintenance of this new building and maintenance of the new high school? It doesn’t seem right that my grandchildren — one at the high school and two at White Brook Middle School — will possibly have to pay somewhere down the line for another school. A better job of maintaining these schools would be a help to all of us.

With the history of White Brook Middle School sinking, is there a guarantee that we won’t experience it in the future? Aren’t there any other sites in the city that would be better suited for this type of project?
