Criticizes photo showing graduate smoking cigar

I am pleased that the Gazette has been covering all the high school graduations over the past few weeks.

On June 11, I was very disappointed to see the front-page picture of the Northampton High School graduate smoking a cigar. What were the photographers and editors thinking?

Cigars can cause cancer. Hopefully, it was a one-time occurrence. I question the choice of this picture as a feature. Of all the exciting things going on during a graduation, this is what you want to show our younger generation doing?

You do want your paper to influence/educate/inform the people who read it, right? Not the best choice.
