Use DNA directory to help reunite refugee families

All right-thinking people of the world are horrified by the recent actions of our national government in separating the children of would-be refugees from their parents; refugees who are fleeing for their lives.

It makes matters worse that our government has apparently failed to keep accurate records so that reunion is impossible. Perhaps technology can help resolve this disgraceful dilemma. In 2018, it should be possible to create a directory of the DNA of each parent and each lost child, to match them and, thereby, to facilitate the reunion of families.

Failure to make every effort to end this disgraceful dilemma compounds the guilt and the complicity of the American people โ€” of all of us โ€” in this crime against humanity.
