SHELBURNE — One person died from a head-on collision on Route 2 near Gould’s Maple Sugarhouse Sunday, the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office said Monday afternoon.
Thomas Gadomski, 58, of Little Mohawk Road, Shelburne, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, the District Attorney’s Office said.
A second person was treated for serious injuries from the accident.
The accident was reported around 10:45 a.m. and around 11 a.m. the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit responded to the crash, which remains under investigation.
State and local police assisted at the scene. Traffic was rerouted around the section of Route 2 for much of the afternoon on Sunday.
