Thank you for your coverage of the memorial service for Donald Vitkus in late June at Warner-Pine Grove Cemetery on the grounds of the former Belchertown State School.
It was comforting for the Vitkus family and friends to have Donald recognized for his devoted advocacy, and for the other living and deceased patients who once resided at this institution.
Belchertown State School closed 25 years ago, and it was gratifying to have their lives honored with such sensitivity.
