I enthusiastically express my support for Jo Comerford as state senator in the Hampshire, Franklin and Worcester District.
I encourage others to write her name in on the ballot. Why? We can count on Comerford to show up and to be an active member of the Senate; she will give her all. We can count on Jo to listen to her constituents, not just in her office in Boston, but right here in western Massachusetts.
Comerford has strong ideas and she is open to input and other perspectives. She has always and will always stand up with those who are marginalized. She will bring these voices to the table and work to find viable solutions and policies that can be implemented here and now.
Comerford is visionary and she is practical — what a rare combination. She is not afraid to confront racism, sexism, and classism wherever she finds it. She has always valued justice, compassion, equity, and hard work and she knows we need to live sustainably on this finite, beautiful planet.
I trust Comerford will work diligently to bring these values to issues of education, health care, immigration, the economy, housing, transportation, renewable energy and more. Please join me in writing in Jo Comerford of Northampton for our state senator on Sept. 4.
