Encourages volunteers at Not Bread Alone

No one wants to see children suffer or without their parents. It is disheartening to read about what is happening at our borders. If what you read makes you feel helpless and you want to feel better about your community and what it offers families in need, spend a Saturday morning or afternoon volunteering at Not Bread Alone at the First Congregational Church in Amherst.

Any amount of time you can give is appreciated, especially during the summer months when college students are away. You can chop vegetables, clean dishes, serve food to an appreciative group of people and their families and work with wonderful volunteers.

It is true that serving others will satisfy a need to feel useful and good about the world situation. We encourage you to go to www.chd.org and click on โ€œVolunteerโ€ at the top of the page. A short list of possibilities will come up and Not Bread Alone is the last option on the list.

Or email notbreadalone@chd.org and your message will go directly to Bob Stover.
