Praises work ofThe Resistance Center

Thank you to the Gazette for your thoughtful and skillful coverage of our work at NuclearBan.US (“Lay down your arms: How one couple is fighting to ban nuclear weapons,” Hampshire Life, May 25-31).

We’d like your readers to know that we couldn’t have built our campaign without the capable and generous support of the staff, interns, and volunteers at The Resistance Center for Peace and Justice, which is carrying on the work of American Friends Service Committee in western Massachusetts started by Frances Crowe 50 years ago.

The Resistance Center is an extraordinary resource for all of us working on peace and justice. It has been nurturing our national campaign since the beginning, and is guiding individuals, schools, colleges, faith communities, businesses and cities here in western Massachusetts who want to align themselves with the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons.

Look behind the scenes at anything you care about, and you might find The Resistance Center.
