Moja Premny of Southampton went 4-for-5, with five RBIs, as the South Division defeated the North 18-8 in the 12U Suburban Softball League all-star game Tuesday in Agawam.
Southampton’s Paige Galbin and Nora Hamel each had a hit, while Emma Czarniecki struck out four in four innings to earn the win
Ashley Taylor of Frontier Red drove in two runs on two hits for the losing North team. Frontier Blue’s Molly Gates and Easthampton’s MaKenna Slate (RBI) added two hits each.
Jess Campbell (Frontier Red) and Madison McKemmie (Frontier Blue) had RBI singles. McKemmie also won the home run derby with 11. Briana Storozuk of Frontier Red was second with five.
The Frontier Red team of Ashely Taylor, Hailey Hutkoski, Arianna Miller
and Lucia Doulette won the base running competition.
