The Atlantic 10 Conference released its men’s basketball schedule Wednesday, giving UMass the dates for its final 18 games of the season.

The Minutemen received a bye on the opening day of conference play, Jan. 3, so they will begin their A-10 slate on Jan. 5 at the Mullins Center against La Salle. UMass’ home finale is March 6 against Richmond with the regular-season closer three days later at Rhode Island.

The conference also announced its national television schedule and UMass appears five times. The Minutemen will be featured on NBCSN four times — Jan. 5 against La Salle, Jan. 13 at Dayton, Jan. 19 at VCU and Feb. 2 at Saint Joseph’s. Their road trip to Saint Louis on Jan. 9 will be shown on CBS Sports Network.

UMass will also make one appearance on Stadium, the Jan. 27 against Rhode Island at home. The rest of UMass’ television schedule will be announced at a later date by Eleven Sports.

All UMass home and road games that aren’t part of the A-10’s national television schedule will be streamed on ESPN+.

CANNELLA EXTENDED: UMass and men’s lacrosse coach Greg Cannella have agreed to a two-year extension through the 2022, the school announced Wednesday.

Cannella has a 206-142 record in 24 years at the helm of the Minutemen and is the nation’s second-longest tenured Division I men’ s lacrosse coach. He led UMass to a 12-5 record last season and won the Colonial Athletic Association regular season and tournament titles en route to a ninth appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
