NORTHAMPTON — A “fender bender” between two tractor-trailers caused a massive traffic backup on I-91 south and surrounding roads in Northampton on Thursday afternoon.
According to State Police, two tractor-trailers collided with one another and caused a minor fuel spill near the Oxbow crossing, near the Northampton/Easthampton line. Police received the call at 3:55 p.m. No injuries were reported from the accident
Police closed the right lane of the interstate around the accident while cleanup was in progress. The two tractor-trailers were towed from the scene and all lanes were opened at 5:15 p.m. according to State Police.
