We thank the Gazette for recognizing Frances Crowe’s profound contribution to our community by offering her a regular spot every Friday to write a column in the weekly Hampshire Life.
My wife and I just read Frances Crowe’s first column — an inspiring review of significant moments from her “long life of witnessing for peace and justice.” She wrote about the meaning and values inherent in what she stood for as a radical activist.
She risked herself tirelessly in peaceful civil disobedience in courageous acts of social justice and in her long career of non-violent anti-war protests against war and military solutions.
Her column will help to provide inspiration and hopefully a desire for our youth to follow in their fight for peace and justice.
