AMHERST — A number of parking spaces on both sides of Main Street between Boltwood Avenue and Churchill Street will be closed to vehicles Monday.
The prohibition on parking at the metered spots from Town Hall to the police station, and along Sweetser Park, comes as Palmer Paving and A. Martins Construction of Ludlow are beginning a resurfacing project that includes removing and replacing existing sewer and drain covers.
Additional sidewalk and ramp work will continue during the week, with more parking closures likely.
All work is weather dependent.
