Accountability needed for anonymous callers

What is wrong with our colleges and universities, those bastions of liberalism and equality for all? First at Smith, then UMass Amherst, black people are being profiled by anonymous callers.

Personally, my feeling is if a person is too timid to stand up and be identified, his or her voice should be ignored anyway. Why should the accuser get a free ride; the accused certainly doesnโ€™t. If racial insensitivity is a hallmark of our institutions of higher learning, then there should be penalties involved. Since talk isnโ€™t solving the problem โ€” if they are employees, fire them, if students, expel them. That should get the point across.
