Nora Young had a hat trick and an assist, as the Granby girls soccer team beat Amherst Regional, 6-0, Monday to move within a point of playoff qualification.

Julia Frappier scored twice with an assist, while Trystin Burger passed three assists.

Ella Laliberte scored, and Madison Sexton added an assist for the Rams (8-4-1, 4-2 Central).

Julia Gauvin stopped three shots.

Westfield 2, Northampton 1 โ€” Caroline Tanner tied the game with five minutes left, sending the ball into the net from a scrum. Peyton Pettiford-Rowan hit the corner into the box and received an assist.

The Bombers scored a winner a minute later.

Sydney Lewandowski made six saves for the Blue Devils (4-7-2, 2-4 Kurty-Fielding).

Smith Academy 2, Putnam 0 โ€” Maggie Hession scored two goals, one in each half of a road win. Emma Moynihan assisted both tallies, and Maddie Bell made two saves for the Falcons (6-6-1).

Belchertown 2, East Longmeadow 1 โ€” Jenna Birks and Alexa LaFlamme scored in a road win.

Kaitlyn Sullivan assisted Birksโ€™ goal to go up 2-0.

Julia Jimenez made seven saves for the Orioles (6-5-1, 3-2 Coombs).

Boys soccer

Pioneer Regional 4, Granby 0 โ€” Michael McGreevy made 14 saves for the Rams (0-12-1).

Central 10, Gateway Regional 0 โ€” Preston Coffey made five saves, and John Foley stopped two shots for the Gators (3-8-1).

Field hockey

Amherst Regional 2, Franklin Tech 0 โ€” Sora Green scored in the first half, and Monica Cage struck in the second half for the Hurricanes (5-5, 5-1 Tri-County).

Lydia Sullivan made five saves for Amherst.

Girls volleyball

Smith Vocational 3, Franklin Tech 2 โ€” Haleigh Pensivy had nine kills and two digs in a 20-25, 22-25, 25-14, 25-13, 15-9 comeback win.

Amber Pensivy passed seven assists with two blocks and two kills.

Yannibell Augusto Flores contributed six digs, three assists, two aces and two kills.

Marissa Rodrirgues added five digs and two kills for the Vikings (3-10, 3-4 Metro).

Sabis 3, Belchertown 1 โ€” Marissa Courchesne had 11 kills, five aces and three blocks in a 25-16, 21-25, 25-20, 25-19 loss.

Madison Sefton also fired five aces. Madison Mallalieu added 13 assists for the Orioles (5-11, 1-4 Southern).

Chicopee 3, Easthampton 2 โ€” Devney Horne accumulated 21 kills and seven digs in a 25-23, 19-25, 25-18, 21-25, 15-9 home loss.

Autumn Pinard passed 26 assists with two aces. Annika Devine added 12 kills and nine digs for the Eagles (6-6, 1-4 Southern).

Skylar Raskevitz chipped in with 15 digs, while Valerie Murphy had three kills, nine digs and a pair of aces.
