NORTHAMPTON — Paving in the area of Pleasant Street between Main Street and Hockanum Road will detour southbound traffic to the Conz Street roundabout on Monday, Oct. 22 and Tuesday, Oct. 23.
During this time, only northbound traffic will be allowed between Hockanum Road and Main Street, according to a Department of Public Works announcement.
Parking will also be prohibited from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Pleasant Street during the paving.
Traffic will be prohibited until the pavement has cooled, and commuters are advised to anticipate delays and plan alternate routes.
Police officers will be on site to redirect traffic, and detour signs will be posted.
Warner Bros., LLC, the city’s paving contractor, will oversee the project and plans to pave one lane on each day.
Between Oct. 22 and Oct. 24, Hampton Avenue, Wright Avenue, Fulton Avenue, Cooke Avenue and North King Street will also be paved.
A rain date of Oct. 24 is set for paving on Pleasant Street.
